The above video is an excellent catalyst to help us refocus our thinking. If we are not getting what we want, we’re not thinking the correct thoughts and visualizing our targets. I have found that a visual image helps me focus my thoughts. You may want to try it and see if it will work for you also.
Find a picture or image that captures your goal or target. Post it somewhere that you can refer to it daily—first thing in the morning and last thing at night. This activity serves at least two purposes. One, it reminds you what you are striving for; and two, it keeps your target before you. I also pull out my picture when I am frustrated. For me this serves as a reminder that the efforts I am putting forth will bring me the reward I am seeking.
I am easily distracted by frustrations and tasks that I seem unable to solve. When this happens, I take a brief break. Upon return to work I again pull out my picture. After watching the above video I see that I am refreshing and reinforcing the thoughts I want to have when I do this.
Please share with me your strategies for staying focused and thinking positive thoughts.
